Maiji Shan near Tianshui

Tianshui is 4 hours by train southeast of Lanzhou. It is out of the way from the rest of our trip. But it is worthy it. The grottos and statues in Maiji Shan are even more spectacular than in Binglingsi. The giant statues and caves are located hundreds of feet above the ground. They are accessible via stairs and walkways built into the cliff.
